Fireland

A Sunday Drone / 17 February 2002

Gray t-shirt with University peeling off in flakes, rock music from 1971, the silence at the end of side one almost alarming, yelled conversations cut short, embarrassed, a wail from some kid outside (so loud as to render the emotion behind it unrecognizable), egg-film coating the pot, New Haven founder Theophilus five letters, muted sporting events, bookpapercuts, 18 MPH if that, winding up Atomic Robot Man and seeing what the cat does, numbers written on Post-Its, Dodongo’s Cavern in bed, ice diluting juice.
